Student Potential Development Committee Meeting (Mobile)
The Council of University Presidents of Thailand organized a meeting of the Student Potential Development Committee (Mobile), honored by Kasetsart University as the host of the meeting on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Kampol Adulwit Meeting Room, 50th Anniversary Information Building, Kasetsart University, from 08.30 to 15.30 hrs. The objectives were to facilitate the exchange of knowledge on student affairs management within higher education institutions. There were also lectures on the proactive student activity policy of Kasetsart University, presentation of Best practices: providing health services for students at Kasetsart University, taking a tram to see places within Kasetsart University, and visiting an exhibition of student affairs operations of universities/institutions in the member universities of the Council of University Presidents of Thailand. The meeting was attended by more than 160 executives, university personnel, and student leaders of universities in the member universities of the Council of University Presidents of Thailand. The event featured a presentation of Best Practices on providing health services for students at Kasetsart University by Dr. Surassawadee Arunworakorn, Assistant to the President for Student Affairs of Kasetsart University. From the concept of driving the student health policy in every situation, focusing on the needs of students as the center, including taking care of students, it is a collaboration in the form of a network, including students, fellow students, lecturers, personnel, student leaders and student activity organizations, parents, and units within Kasetsart University. It focuses on preparing the system and mechanisms to take care of students’ health and hopes to be a part of creating a good environment that will make students strong on their own, have mental immunity, be proud, love and see their own value, which is considered a mental immunity that will make students have strong mental health and happiness. In the afternoon, there was a meeting of the Student Potential Development Committee of the Council of University Presidents of Thailand, with Assistant Professor Dr. Chaiporn Phuprasert from Chulalongkorn University as the chairman of the Student Potential Development Committee and vice presidents from 30 member institutions attending the meeting. The meeting saw the benefits of organizing continuous learning exchange activities and joint meetings, and it was a platform for developing knowledge between executives, student affairs personnel, and students from all institutions by setting a mobile meeting calendar every 2 months and agreeing to organize an academic conference on student potential development every year to raise the importance of the work to be more prominent. Along with being a stage for learning experiences together between personnel, students and students from every institution. In addition, the meeting also set an agenda for exchanging knowledge on student health work in various aspects and regularly extracting lessons between institutions. Because it is important, every institution must quickly brainstorm to solve problems together efficiently and for future benefits.
