The 1/2023 meeting of the Student Potential Development Committee of the Council of University Presidents of Thailand

The mobile meeting of the Student Potential Development Committee of the Council of University Presidents of Thailand on Sunday, April 9, 2023, from 08.30 a.m. to 05.00 p.m. at the Happy Lifelong Learning Meeting Room (ECB1), Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University. The Council of University Presidents of Thailand was honored to be hosted by Chiang Mai University. The meeting was attended by executives, student development personnel, and student leaders from 51 institutions, totaling more than 220 people. The event included special lectures on various interesting topics, such as “Cultivating Thai Youth Leaders as Youth Soft Power” by Dr. Suvit Maesincee, former Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation; “CMU Student's DNA Development” by Associate Professor Dr. Anwar Wisesborisut, Director of the Office of Educational Quality Development. Chiang Mai University, etc. In addition, there is an exchange of learning experiences of each university (Case Study), such as the exchange of care and services for special students, DNA CMU Student, and the promotion of academic integrity in educational institutions with interesting methods. Learning exchange activities between personnel, students and students from all institutions on the topic of "Smart Campus Life", including the activity of continuing the traditions of the Pa Weni Pi Mai Muang (Songkran Festival) at Sala Tham, Chiang Mai University, so that participants can learn about the culture and traditions of the Lanna people. In the afternoon, there was a meeting of the Student Potential Development Committee of the Council of University Presidents of Thailand, No. 2/2023, chaired by Assistant Professor Rachd Chomphunich, and attended by vice presidents from more than 30 member institutions of the CUPT. The main points of the meeting will be to acknowledge the operational policies from the CUPT Executive Committee related to student development. The committee recognizes the importance of student well-being, so it has considered appointing 2 working groups: the Working Group on Co-Creative Activities and the Working Group on Student Well-being to drive co-creative activities and develop student well-being services, as well as to exchange knowledge about student development.
